Milan Tomásik

Milan is a contemporary dance artist from Prievidza, where he was born in 1981.
He studied dance at Conservatory J.L.Bellu in Banska Bystrica and at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.

In June 2004, he has finished international school P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels.
Since 2000, he collaborates with the German choreographer Eva Weissmann (Freiburg) and under her direction created: Doctor Faustus Lights the Lights, Nenne Mir Musa.

In 2001, he joined ImpulsTanz festival in Wien as ’Dance Web’ scholarship holder. Milan has been working with several artists like Jackie Gray, Anton Lachky, Katarina Mojzisova, Jochem Stavenuiter and many others...
In 2003 created a dance solo called 7 Minutes Round, inspired by an American writer, Gertrude Stein and a duo, Kutatxina with the African artist Justino Zimba.

Since 2004 he is on tour with DuWadance company (Sapro-Agapé, Prague), En-Knap company (Iztok Kovac, Lublana) and Gallery of dead women (Mala Kline, Maja Delak, Lublana).

His teaching experiences includes workshops at Conservatory, Dance Studio and summer courses (Zvolen) in Slovakia, Dance Theater Ljubljana (PTL), Cortesia company in Slovenia, in Czech republic (Praha) and Belgium (Lier, Antwerp).

Milan is a member of Les SlovaKs dance collective
