Professional choreography
RETINA DANCE COMPANY, Artistic Direction Filip Van Huffel
Retina Dance Company create and tour contemporary dance works that comment on today’s society through an abstraction of basic human conditions, channelled by a constant investigation and observation of people, their physical quirks, movement and spatial behaviour. The work investigates the potential of pure abstract movement to communicate theatrical intention. Retina’s choreography is characterised by physically vibrant movement, compelling energy and groundbreaking partnerwork. Retina has toured throughout UK, Belgium, France, Germany, India, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and Venezuela.
