About Danswerkhuys
Danswerkhuys vzw is a non-profit organisation that offers a network of possibilties in contemporary dance and related techniques.
It's also a place where dancers and choreographers can meet, exchange ideas and network, all in a creative and open environment.
We also aim to provide support for dance projects and artists in Antwerp and beyond, as well as network with related organisations in other cities and countries...
DWH already enjoyed the support of several partners on all levels of the dance community like Monty, Troubleyn, Hoger Instituut voor Dans - Lier, Koninklijke Balletschool Antwerpen, Oude Badhuis and many more...

From January 7th 2009 we start with a daily offer of contemporary training classes in the morning (monday to friday from 10.30 - 12hrs)!!!
Yet again a season filled with interesting teachers!
Hereby we offer you a wide perspective on contemporary dance, so you can absorb new input 'like sponge'.
New location!
The contemporary dance classes (professional level, with an accesibility to everyone who wants to get a stimulation on a qualitative level) take place in Atelier 11, Van Dornestraat 98, 2100 Deurne. Look out for the gate with the big yellow hand, de door on your left will be opened daily from 10 am. A cosy coffee corner (or tea if you will) is at your disposal.

From Antwerp Central Station:
Tram 12: Take exit Zoo at the Central Station. Take tram 12 (direction Sportpaleis) at the far end of the Astridplein. Get of at Sportpaleis. Walk into Bisschoppenhoflaan en go right after 100m in the Van Nevelestraat. First street on your left is the Van Dornestraat. Atelier 11 is situated 200m further down the road, left hand side (gate with the yellow hand, the door on your left). The tram takes about 13 minutes.
Tram 5: Go to premetrostation Astrid (at the Astridplein) and take tram 5 direction Linkeroever/Wim Saerensplein. Get of at stop Sport. ... The tram takes about 5 minutes.
At premetrostation Astrid you can also take tram 3 direction Merksem and tram 6 direction Luchtbal, get of at the same stop Sport.
From the Rooseveltplaats:
Bus 19: Take bus 19 direction Deurne Noord/Deurne Zuid at platform 36. Get of at stop Van Deynestraat. You are on the Bischoppenhoflaan, take the Van Deynestraat on your right side, then take the first street on your left, you are in the Van Dornestraat. The bus takes about 13 minutes.
By car:
From direction Gent:
Exit Deurne on the Antwerp ring. At the end of the exit, turn right onto the Bisschoppenhoflaan. Follow 300m. and turn right onto Sossastraat. First street on the right is Van Dornestraat. Atelier 11 is situated on your right hand side 50m. further down the road (gate with the yellow hand, the door on your left).
